New Website Who Dis?

Helloooo errybodyy! 👋

Welcome to the new saricden.com - fresh out the IDE. I missed having an outlet to write, and hosting a simple portfolio on my exclusive domain felt too corporate. To embrace my punk rock side, I decided to build out a blog-style site where I can write about whatever takes my fancy that week.

The tech aficionados amidst my readers will be pleased to know I tried out a new SSG to build this version of my site. After a fair bit of back and forth I landed on 11ty. It's dead simple to get going, allows me to write my templates in Liquid (which I happen to like) and enables me to plug in to the NPM ecosystem to leverage all the wonderful work of the open source OGs out there keeping the lights on and the planes in the sky.

So Kirk, what are your plans for this shiny new website?

Honestly, I'm not sure. Mainly I just felt like getting back into writing, but also figured this time around I would try to gear my articles to a middle ground between my fellow tech-heads as well as my friends who aren't nerds.

The articles will orbit technodork stuff, but I'll do my best to deliver them in a way that is more user friendly than staring at command line error logs.
